Northern Saw-whet Owl - Greeting Card

The Northern Saw-whet owl is one of the smallest owls in the world. They are easily recogniable by their strikingly large yellow eyes and huge head-to-body size ratio. These owls are often seen more than heard, being nocturnal hunters and preferring to hang out high in the lush foliage of conifer trees. Though they have a broad range that spans across the North American continent, they prefer coniferous or mixed deciduous-coniferous forests, one of the most quickly vanishing habitats in our region.
