Finished painting this one by the light of a smoke-filled sky as the effects of Oregon's most destructive fire season on record moves into the city. I'm short on words today, and admittedly also short on hope.

We are being scammed by criminals right and left while we watch our public lands and communities suffer. Billionaires and megacorporations are reaping record profits off of this suffering. And so many people still don't understand the dire implications, like my neighbor who is still setting off fireworks every night despite red flag warnings, unhealthy air quality, and burn bans.
